How long is the exam, and how many questions?
Thirty questions in 45 minutes — about ninety seconds a question. Screenshot-based, multiple choice, auto-graded, nothing to install. Questions draw from a larger bank, so no two sittings are identical.
What score earns the certificate, and what are the levels?
70% earns CFAeX certification. Score 80–89% and your certificate reads Certified — Advanced; 90% or above, Certified — Distinction. Below 70%, no certificate is issued — and your purchase includes a second attempt.
Can I retake it if I don’t pass?
Yes — every purchase includes two attempts, and we keep your best score. The same policy our recruiters’ candidates get.
Is there a refund if I change my mind?
Full refund any time before you start the exam, within 14 days of purchase. Once an exam is started there are no refunds — that’s what the included second attempt is for.
Is CFAeX an official Autodesk certification?
No — and we say that plainly. CFAeX is Consulting for Architects’ own credential, built by a former Autodesk Authorized Training Center and authored by an Autodesk Certified Instructor. It isn’t sanctioned by Autodesk or Certiport; it’s recognized by the firms we place with — which is the point.
Does my certificate expire?
No. Certificates are stamped with the software release you tested on (2025 or 2026), so a firm can always see how current your certification is.
