Our client is a luxury interior design studio based in Brooklyn, NY, specializing in contemporary high-end residential interiors.
Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Interior Designer with a minimum of 6 years of experience for an as-needed freelance opportunity. The studio has a growing pipeline of luxury residential projects, with potential for the position to develop into a full-time role for the right candidate.
This is a highly technical role focused on executing the studio's creative direction at a high level. Responsibilities include developing plans and elevations, millwork and custom furniture drawings, CAD drafting, and coordinating ceiling and lighting plans with the architect.
The position is primarily remote, with in-person and Zoom meetings scheduled throughout the project as needed. Candidates must have AutoCAD available on their home computer.
Required:
- 6+ years of interior design experience
- Luxury residential experience with a contemporary design approach
- Strong AutoCAD/CAD drafting skills
- Revit experience strongly preferred
- AutoCAD available on home computer
- Plan layouts and interior elevations
- Millwork drafting and design
- Custom furniture drawings and redlining
- Ceiling and lighting plans
- Ability to collaborate with architects and consultants
- Contemporary luxury residential portfolio
- Actual millwork and custom furniture drawing samples
Preferred:
- FF&E experience
- Procurement support experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.
Salary / Hourly:
$50–$75/hour
Schedule / Type:
Freelance, as-needed hourly basis; primarily remote with in-person and Zoom meetings throughout the project. Potential to develop into a full-time role for the right candidate.
