Senior Interior Designer | Luxury Hospitality

Client:
Our client is a highly regarded Brooklyn NY design studio specializing in luxury hospitality, high-end residential, and bespoke interior environments. Their collaborative team is known for creating sophisticated, design-driven spaces for prestigious hospitality brands and private clients. They are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join their studio on a long-term project basis, supporting multiple luxury hospitality projects.

Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Interior Designer with extensive luxury hospitality experience to support two major hotel projects. One project is currently in the construction administration phase, requiring drawing reviews, shop drawing coordination, and quality control. The second project is in the conceptual design phase and will require strong design studies, presentation development, material exploration, and design documentation support.

This individual will work closely with the Design Director and senior leadership, contributing throughout the design process while helping maintain the firm's high design standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer who enjoys both conceptual design and technical coordination within a collaborative studio environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support luxury hospitality projects from concept through construction administration.
• Develop design studies, layouts, space planning, and presentation materials.
• Produce and refine drawings using AutoCAD and Rhino.
• Create compelling client presentations, mood boards, and visual materials utilizing Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field conditions for design intent and quality.
• Assist with specification development and coordination with vendors and fabricators.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Mentor junior designers and assist in maintaining documentation and design standards.
• Participate in client meetings, showroom visits, site visits, and project coordination.

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 8–10+ years of professional interior design experience.
• Extensive luxury hospitality project experience.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong skills in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
• Experience with Rhino.
• Experience preparing presentation materials and design studies.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, shop drawing review, and construction administration.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating luxury hospitality work.

Preferred:

• Experience writing or coordinating interior specifications.
• Familiarity with DesignSpec or similar specification software.
• Experience coordinating with luxury hotel brands, custom fabricators, and millworkers.

Location:
Brooklyn, NY

Schedule:
Long-term project position. Primarily in-office with work-from-home Wednesdays.

Salary / Hourly:
$50-60 per hour
