Client:
Our client is a New York–based architecture and design studio led by an established architect, currently undertaking the gut renovation of an approximately 1,800-square-foot loft apartment.

Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Interior Architect on a part-time basis to assist with the interior architectural detailing and development of a modern/contemporary residential renovation. The role will focus heavily on the detailing of custom millwork, casework, cabinetry, and other interior architectural elements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience translating design concepts into highly detailed interior architectural drawings and a sophisticated understanding of custom fabrication and detailing. Candidates should be prepared to provide a portfolio showcasing relevant millwork, cabinetry, casework, and interior detailing, along with finished project photography where available.

The Architect will provide overall design direction, with the Senior Interior Architect contributing expertise in interior detailing and documentation.

Required:

• 8+ years of professional experience in interior architecture or high-end residential interiors
• Strong AutoCAD skills
• Demonstrated experience detailing custom millwork, cabinetry, casework, and interior architectural elements
• Modern/contemporary design sensibility
• Strong technical detailing and construction documentation skills
• Portfolio must include relevant detailing samples and, ideally, finished project photography
• Must have a personal home-office computer with AutoCAD
• Must be available for occasional in-office meetings

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design preferred.

Salary / Hourly:
$50-70 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:
Part-time; semi-flexible hours based on project needs.
