Our client is a well-established Los Angeles architecture firm specializing in distinctive residences and renovations. Their work draws from traditional, streamlined classical, regional, and contemporary influences, combining authentic details and thoughtful proportions with the needs of modern living.
Description:
Our client is seeking a Job Captain with a minimum of 5 years of professional architectural experience to join their growing Los Angeles practice. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented architectural professional with strong technical and documentation skills.
The Job Captain will be responsible for drafting, developing, coordinating, and organizing project drawing sets and construction documents, while working closely with the design team, consultants, and contractors. Responsibilities will include interpreting design intent into working drawings, researching building codes, producing CAD drawings and 3D renderings, reviewing shop drawings and fieldwork, and assisting with consultant coordination.
High-end residential experience is strongly preferred, particularly for candidates who have a strong understanding of architectural detailing and construction documentation.
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- Proficiency in SketchUp and Photoshop
- Experience with construction documents and drawing set production
- Ability to interpret design intent into detailed working drawings
- Experience with shop drawing review, fieldwork, and consultant coordination
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- High-end residential experience preferred
- Must be able to work full-time, on-site in Los Angeles
Education:
Architectural education or equivalent professional experience.
Salary:
90-95k
