Client:
Our client is a New York–based architecture and design studio led by an experienced architect, currently undertaking the gut renovation of an approximately 1,800-square-foot loft apartment.
Description:
Our client is seeking a part-time Architectural Drafter to assist with the documentation and development of a residential gut renovation. Working directly under the direction of the Architect, the Drafter will prepare demolition plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, and other architectural drawings throughout the project. The Architect will remain responsible for overall design direction and project coordination.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Drafter looking for semi-flexible, part-time work on a high-end residential renovation while working closely with the project Architect.
Required:
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- Experience producing residential architectural drawings and construction documents
- Ability to develop demolition plans, floor plans, RCPs, elevations, and details
- Ability to work independently and take direction from the Architect
- Must have a personal home-office computer with AutoCAD
- Must be available to come into the office for occasional meetings
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field preferred.
Salary / Hourly:
$40–$45 per hour
